Sale Heritage Walk / Drive

A leisurely stroll or drive around some of Sale's significant historic buildings is a pleasant way to spend a few hours.

Major Historic buildings in Sale to view include:

  • Magistrates Court 1863 & Supreme Court 1887 are buildings of high architectural integrity and classic design.(Foster St)
  • St Paul's Anglican Cathedral 1885 featuring fine stained glass windows.(Cunninghame St)
  • St Mary's Cathedral 1887 renovated more recently, wtih a bronze of Mary McKillop by Annemieke Mein installed in 1995. (Foster St)
  • Our "Lady of Sion" convent 1893 is a marvellous gothic building still in use as part of the Sale Catholic College today. (York St)
  • The original AMP society building.(Raymond St)
  • The bicentennial clocktower in the mall utilising the original bluestone base, iron work and clock mechanisms. (Raymond St)
  • The historic "Cobb & Co" stables in Raymond St.
